I am an adult learner, and I have loved playing the music in this book. It is a little heavy on Bach (four minuets!) but there is also Bartok, Schumann, von Weber, Mozart, Hummel, Beethoven, and more, so I feel it's quite well-balanced. The Suzuki series is perfect if you love classical music and don't want to play contrived, made-up songs accompanied by garish pictures and dumb lyrics.
Our daughter learned to play the piano on this system many years ago. She is trying to get her piano playing skills back. These books are the best for doing that.
Suzuki volumes are always an economical way to have a well-bound, fingered, easy-to-read edition of standard classics. Plaster it with stickers every time you play something right!
I grownup with yamaha, but I like suzuki more. This repertoire just take you straight in to the world of classical. Lot and lot of songs from great composers. It is not for self-study tho'
I Purchased this ebook along with a hard copy to allow practice on the go. I used it to read the songs before sitting at the piano. I would recommend this to anyone who lacks time at home for practice. It helps to keep reading notation more consistent.
