First of all, I bought it for clustering purposes. There is nothing related to it. I returned to the book immediately. It seemed like supervised learning only.Secondly, I wouldn't call it a book. It looks and printed like a BORINGLY formatted master thesis. Although it is listed as a book, I would like to call it SURVEY PAPER
The book focuses solely on the machine learning algorithms. The background in math is needed but the best part is that the equations are explained by actual simple examples using numbers and solving the equations using those numbers. Brings the intuition of how simple additions and multiplications to explain complex underlying algorithm.
Great start for the one who wants to understand maths behind predictive analytics
Great book for data science.
It has math stuffs for ML beginners with 1 or 2 example, which I liked the most. Price is bit higher for this book though. Overall book is great
