My granddaughter absolutely loves fairy tales, so when I saw this book I knew it'd be perfect for her.It's so hard to find new fairy tales today, they're almost all just new versions of old stories that she'salready read. This book reads like a classic, but it's a story we've never seen before. She was so happyto read a fresh story like this one. I thought the moral of the story was very sweet. And the illustrations,wow, so beautiful and every page is so vibrant and colorful. I highly recommend this book for anyonethat has a child that loves fairy tales.

As an educator I’m always looking for books that I can tie into my integrated curriculum. Furry was a great addition to my Endangered Animal unit. Furry is an must read fairytale that is engaging, suspenseful and educational. The extension activities paired well with my unit objectives and I absolutely loved how the student work turned out. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves fairytales. Both my children and students loved this story.

If you like Texas, its culinary wonder, local foods, Texas chefs, restaurants, wine, and farmers markets, this book is the answer. Cheese cake from Hudson Bend restaurant using Pure Luck Goat Cheese...absolutely heaven in this crazy world, but there are too many other wonderful farmers, its hard to pin down which is my personal favorite. Truly a new book I just had to have, but again, you have to love Texas!

Great book. Was a 50th birthday present for my son. He was very impressed. I skimmed the recipes and it has interesting recipes to try. It also gives information on various areas in Texas where wine has become a major business endeavor. It is also beautifully photographed.

I bought this as a gift for my wife. She read most of it about various Texas restaurants and the growth of the food industry in Texas. The recipes are nice, but this book is even better with well written text.

This is a beautiful cookbook. I liked mine so much that I gave copies to family and friends for Christmas. It is full of interesting information and beautiful photos and can be enjoyed even by someone who never cooks.

About the Author

MARY L. BARROW has been an attorney for more than 30 years. She has a BA from Brown University and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania law school. For many years she practiced estate planning, probate, and trust law, in three different states, both as a partner in a large law firm and as the principal of a boutique trusts & estates firm. She has helped numerous clients to define their goals and objectives, and then implement those wishes as simply and efficiently as possible through their estate plans. In 2009 the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of South Carolina Beaufort asked the author to create a course for its members on the topic of trusts. Liked the information presented,What’s missing why I gave it a 4 stars, I would have liked electronic templates to make it easier as a template before seeing a lawyer. I bought this for my 97 year old dad-/ not sure he will be able to handle the content, so i’m Going Thur it myself to “translate” to simply in plain English. I did the trust thru a lawyer which makes it easier. Though good idea to read this before seeing lawyer so you have a clue what is going on. I also did the Pc electronic trust form before seeing lawyer which helped.

It was just what I was looking for. Explained in simple terms and easy to find the situation that I was considering using the Table of contents.

Do not waste your time and money on this book. I am not an attorney, yet I was evidently expecting more detailed information to learn about trusts. This book is so basic that it is does not even mention or make a reference to the Uniform Probate Code and the Uniform Trust Code, and where to find them for the more savvy client to learn more about about trusts.

The Savvy Client's Guide to Trusts is an excellent resource! For someone like me, who knew very little about estate trusts, the author not only accomplished her goals, but she did so exceptionally well - clearly, in laymen's terms, and succinctly! I now know that there may be applicable places in my estate planning where trusts may be very helpful, and I feel much more confident about my ability to discuss these options intelligently with an attorney. I can't wait to read the other book in the series, The Savvy Client's Guide to Estate Planning, as I'm sure I will learn even more. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in improving upon their estate planning knowledge and abilities.

The Savvy Client's Guide to Trusts does a splendid job simplifying the complex world of trusts. It provides a wonderful way to help determine if you need a trust and which is the right type of trust for you. My favorite part is her use of everyday examples we can all relate to and to see how trusts work in different situations. Not many people can say that reading about trusts is actually fun but Ms. Barrow makes the experience fun and rewarding. I whole-heartedly recommend this book and it is a fabulous addition in her series that edify us in the field of estate planning.

This book definitely lives up to its title. Well-written in language you don’t have to be a lawyer to understand, the book is an easy-to-read road map that guides you through the intricacies of what a trust really is and isn’t. There are lots of helpful definitions and lists of key points to remember, and the real-world examples are especially useful. Recommended reading for anyone considering a trust.

This Vol. 2 in Mary Barrow's series is well-written and laid out in an easy-to-read format for clients to better understand the various trust options and types of trusts. Any time clients can come better prepared to discuss estate planning topics helps the clients to be their own best advocate and saves them money. Attorney Barrow continues her helpful and informative series with this volume on trusts.
